Called by his many friends simply as "Lobo", has had a tremendous involvement in candombe for all his life. When he's not playing his tambor, he's making them. The same holds true for his two sons, Noe and Fernandito. Many of the candombe drummers in Montevideo and beyond, carry tambores that bear the mark "El Power", which means Made by Lobo. Needless to say, many of the neighborhood children dream of someday owning a drum made by him. |
