Welcome to candombe.com. The purpose of this website is to introduce you to this wonderful Afro-Uruguayan rhythm, it's origin, it's sound, images, and many of the people involved. You will learn about the three different tambores (drums), tambor piano, tambor chico and tambor repique, that when played together create this unique rhythm. We suggest that you travel through this site in the order it is presented, and take the necessary time to hear each of the sound samples wherever indicated.
